reviewREVIEW: ” ‘Who lives in the tree?’ Is the first picture book of Sparkling Society stories and illustrations, behind this all is the Breda creative duo Margot Ploumen and Ruud van Corler. This picture book is about the friendship between the two stubborn animals, Mees and Eefje, who lives in a big tree in the wood. Eefje is a squirrel and Mees a mouse. The one is big, the other is very small. They are very different, both of appearance and character. But that does not mean that friendship is in the way. Together they have fun in the woods and can not have a day without each other. “

“Allow toddlers to get acquainted with the quirky characters of these little comrades and their immediate surroundings. Illustrator Ruud van Corler (1960) has a unique combination of creativity, technical insight and professionalism. These aspects come back in all its designs; whether it’s on the canvas, in his interior designs or now, in these beautiful, colorful illustrations that surpass reality. The Bredase writer Margot Ploumen (1967) is an imaginative connectorr and dreamer. As an organizational and communications consultant, she has extensive experience in text, dialogue and experience. Because of in our present society there is sometimes too little time and space for the individual child, this duo hopes to achieve one thing at least: the world in which children live, to make it more colorfull and happier. I think they succeeded making this very successful picture book! I’m looking forward to their second picture book! ”
